Tea For Two

Well, actually, times that by seven. Tea for fourteen - that's what we had at our house yesterday. My lovely young ladies love to host tea parties, so they invited 11 of their dear friends over to enjoy a spot of tea and some very sumptuous fare. As always, the young ladies were a delight to have in our home. I was able to remind them that although good manners and ladylike behavior are of some importance, of far more value is growing in their relationship with the Lord for then they will "be like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that (s)he does (s)he prospers." (Psalm 1:3) Each young lady got to take home a planted flower to remind her to put her roots down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.

Evan provided piano music as the girls arrived and he and Aidan were the servers for the meal. They did a great job of pampering the ladies! The menu consisted of Lemon Poppyseed muffins, Cranberry/white chocolate scones with Devonshire cream, blueberry-banana bread, petite sandwiches, mini quiche, orange chocolate cookies and a strawberry cream puff ring and, of course, tea.

Here are some photos of our fun day.

The lovely tables.

The lovely desserts.

The lovely ladies.
After a few hours indoors, they broke free and played outside.  Nina opted for more comfortable clothes, too.
