Well, in an effort to be fair, here is the post about what girls do when camping for a weekend. After all, there were 12 girls with us this weekend (not counting moms). So, let's see, a few girls did pick up big sticks, but not once did I see any of them hit anyone else with their big stick! They were mostly used for walking sticks. As you saw a few posts ago, they did gather around our pantry for some tasty hot chocolate the first morning. They took MANY hikes in the woods down to the waterfall. They also did their fair share of traipsing through the woods, usually, but not always, without laser tag guns. The girls participated in all of the group activities. The teams were usually girls and dads against boys. That made for a fairly even match.
Molly played her flute, but I don't have any pictures of that. The girls also helped make the ice cream and since they were the ones to roll the ice cream ball around for 30 minutes, they got the largest portions of ice cream.
And of course, the ever important event of the weekend, they got to spend time with their friends!

Just in case you were wondering. I'm typing this while laying in bed with a warm (hot) corn bag on my feet and another one laying next...
Barb, your camping sounds like lots of good fun! Thanks for sharing! Oh, the differences between boys and girls...and thank goodness for that! :)
ReplyDeleteBarb,
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to tell me about your "pantry"! Is that it packed in the camper? (there -- I'm so proud of myself for thinking of something ELSE today!!!!)
Jean,
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you commented:) For the rest of the world, Jean & Family just got their referral for a gorgeous little boy from Ethiopia!
Anyway, the pantry is the large orange thing in the camper. It contains nonperishable items, tableware and things like that. You can keep it stocked all summer if you camp a lot. It keeps the little critters out of your food, too. My dad made this one, many, many years ago. If you are interested in more detailed pictures of it just let me know.
