Who knew outhouses were the answer

Okay, it's taken me awhile to actually write anything in my blog. Forty-ones years to start a blog and several months to make the first post. By the time you all have gray hair I may have five minutes of reading here.

I wanted to potty train Raelea (2) before school started and before the two new kids arrived, but she was not cooperating. No matter what I tried or how I tried to bribe her it was a no-go. So, we go up to the cabin last weekend and bring the potty chair along. Btw the cabin is a great place to potty train because the kids are outside all day so accidents don't need to be cleaned up much. Anyway, she refused to go in the potty chair, she refused to go in the toilet, but when she discovered the outhouse...she had found her favorite place. She used it many times in our stay at the cabin and is looking forward to visiting the outhouse again this weekend. So, with a little help from the outhouse (okay a lot of help from the outhouse) Raelea is now potty trained - YIPPEE! We thought Chris might have to dig an outhouse back home, but Raelea has transferred her new found skills to the indoor toilet quite well.

I think I will write a book about this little known secret of potty training...
