"The Blue Castle" by L.M. Montgomery.
ReplyDeleteor "Honey for a Woman's Heart" — which is a book about reading, full of suggestions of books to read. So reading it is kind of like wishing for more wishes. :)
Well, I'm feeling the pressure. I'm working my way through Persuasion again for book club. My favorite Austen. Later this year we are reading Crime and Punishment. Have you read that? What are you in the mood for?
ReplyDeleteJen, no pressure;although I was waiting for you to respond :-). I have read Crime & Punishment, that was years (decades) ago. I do remember liking it, so maybe I should revisit it. Hmm, not sure what to do.
ReplyDeleteI may read another Partrick O'Brian book. I've read four of twenty in his Jack Aubrey series (I refer to them as Jane Austen at sea).
Anyway, keep the ideas coming.
How about "Fathers and Sons" by Ivan Turgenev?
ReplyDeleteYou know how I love those Russian names!
