Portraits

Last year, we decided to stop spending oodles of money getting our kids portraits done at a studio and we started doing them at home.  This allows us to save significant amounts of time and money :)  Not to mention the little ones will smile much better at home for Mom & Dad than they will for some stranger in a studio.  Now that we have a Mac we can have fun playing with the photos as well.

Anyway, here's what we do.  We set up our own little studio in the living room by hanging a sheet or blanket behind the kids and then another one on the floor (if the floor will be in the picture), then we take lots and lots of pictures.  I figure if you take enough pictures you should be able to get one or two that are usable.  I had our little studio all set up yesterday and started with Molly (because she was the only one dressed nice enough) all was going along just fine until my camera battery died.  So, I had to take down the studio and I'll have to set it up another day.

Okay, so here is a picture of Molly that will NOT be making it onto our wall this year.
