Out With The Old

As you may remember from earlier this summer, I was not happy with the front of my house.  Well, finally, we are doing something about it.  Yippee!  We decided that the first phase of house-beautification would be to put in a new driveway and add a little patio by the front door.

Over the weekend, the first phase of the first phase began; that is, the removal of the old driveway.

And let's not forget the hideous planter that has been welcoming me to my house for the past six years.  It's gone too :-)

SO, away we go.  We won't have a NEW driveway until next week, as our friend Rod who is doing the work is only available on weekends.  That's okay though, because even with the driveway torn up, it looks a whole lot better already!
