I am planning on being tired tomorrow after spending much of the night convincing Marcus that the mice are not going to get him in his loft bed. I won't be able to show the same confidence as when he is afraid of snakes, or more recently monkeys. We spent several days convincing him that there are NO monkeys in Minnesota only to realize that now we can NEVER take him to the zoo or he'll think we are liars.

Just in case you were wondering. I'm typing this while laying in bed with a warm (hot) corn bag on my feet and another one laying next...
Barb! Ugh! Mice...it's the cold weather. We've been rodent free around here in our lovely, old, welcoming to mice, city, home for almost a year! But, I'm bracing myself for some more little friends to come our way. And to think that I used to think that centipedes were the worst invaders we could ever have!

Well you could always teach Marcus the poem about the night before Christmas -- "not a creature was stirring not even a mouse" -- and let him know he's home free for tomorrow night anyway!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Actually, Marcus slept just fine last night. Apparently he feels like there is a greater likelihood of monkeys or snakes in his bed than mice. Strange.
ReplyDeleteHave you set any traps?? We had signs of mice in the crawl space under the kitchen earlier this winter and set our several traps. To date we have captured 3 mice and one vole. We have not seen any signs recently. I hope we got them all. If not, they will probably take over the house while we are gone. Mom
