I think this is definitely the year of the tick. I'm not sure what weather conditions are ideal for wood ticks, but I'm fairly certain that whatever we've had this spring is it! We were at the cabin for a few days this weekend and between the two-legged and four-legged creatures there, we must have found over forty ticks on us. It's not like most of us were hiking through the woods, either.
It was crazy! I'm not really fond of the little creatures and I spent most of the weekend feeling like I had ticks crawling up my back.
