Barb in Scotland - Tuesday

My dear, sweet, wonderful hubby (whom I miss very much) figured out a way for me to post pictures from across the pond!  Thanks, dear!

We'll start with Tuesday.  Here we go....

Tuesday started out like this....

But later it looked more like this....

As you can see, the weather around here changes, drastically and frequently.  After band practice we went to Glasgow Cathedral and the Necropolis.  Here are some random pictures of that trip (it's only a block away from our dorm, so it wasn't really a trip).

Here's David Livingstone.

Here are some boys who were bad and needed to be locked up in a cage.  Thankfully, there were lots of cages available.

And then there's the cathedral.  It's quite amazing!  The pictures don't do it justice.  I believe this cathedral dates back to the 1500's. Oh, the history!  I LOVE it!!!!

Behind the cathedral is the Necropolis which is basically a really big, really old cemetery on a really big hill.

Here is a statute of John Know ( notice the lovely blue sky in the background)

Not only are there really cool tombstones at the Necropolis, it also affords the best view of the city

After all that fun in the churches and cemeteries, the kids went off to a bagpipe concert...

And the mom's went downtown window shopping.  Window shopping because all the stores close REALLY early.  While downtown, look what i found, Chris!  It was the nicest, oldest Apple store I've ever seen.

And here are my shopping pals.  Notice the wet streets and rain poncho :-)

That's all for now.  I'll send Wednesday pictures soon and you can look forward to exciting adventures driving around Scotland and more churches, but this time with castles as well.  Night all!
