Is it your turkey?!
ReplyDeleteGood job, Jen! The turkey is soaking in brine. I've never done this before, so hopefully it will turn out okay!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Snickers will be more than happy to sample the results and tell you how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteSo, how did it turn out?
ReplyDeleteIt was tasty, Jen. I cooked it very slowly (about 12 hours) at a very low temperature with water in the pan, so it kind of steamed the turkey. It was moist and tasty :-) mi hope you had a great Thanksgiving. My kids say told me to tell your kids hello!
ReplyDeleteMy kids ask to go to your house every time they see me read your blog, which is ALL THE TIME!!! I do so miss our "connection" (Ha! Ha! What a bad pun) on Wednesdays. Maybe we can get together and bake Christmas cookies this December. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteBy the way the turkey sounds amazing. I was thinking after I read how you cooked it, it's almost exactly opposite deep frying a turkey! (Seems a lot safer and healthier, too!)
ReplyDeleteHa! That was a bad pun! Yes, cookie baking sound splendid! What days work for you? Oh, my kids will be very excited!
