I think it's time for a classic again, any recommendations??? Btw, I'm kind of in a melancholy mood (I think it's the days and days of rain we're having), so keep that in mind when making suggestions.

I managed to make it through 43 years of life without ever getting a cold sore until now. I've got this big old mammoth one on my lip, ...
First I need to know what you just finished...I'll think about a nice classic for you.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Desolation Island by Patrick O'Brian. It is part if his Jack Aubrey series (Master & Commander, et al).
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of reading The Black Arrow. Have you read it? I also picked up Mansfield Park at the library tonight. Thoughts on that?
I haven't read either of those. My favorite Jane Austen is Persuasion. The Black Arrow sounds exciting. Have you read H. Rider Haggard's King Solomon's Mines? Or, I've been wanting to read "War in Heaven" again. It's been a while. So, those are my recommendations...classics with action to get us through this dreary March.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read King Solomon's Mines (Chris & Evan have). I did start listening to it on audio, but didn't get very far.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read War in Heaven either. So many good books, so little time!
