Time to appeal to my loyal readership once again. I am without a book to read (not totally true, since I am in the middle of reading a few if you notice my bookshelf). Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions for a summer read.
Anyone have any thoughts? Jen?

It came to my attention today that I have NEVER blogged about Jungle Jam & Friends ! This is a travesty that I will now correct. A lo...
Let me think about this one for a bit. I'll start with what I've recently read:
ReplyDelete1) Middlemarch (long, but worth it)
2) Portrait of a Lady (long, still working on it)
3) The Hungry Tide (intriguing, not done with it either, but I like it)
Non-fiction:
The Great Dance. (LOVED IT! SHORT!)
I am reading "Jewel" by Bret Lott. It is amazing! You should read it.
ReplyDeleteOoo, I just read a synopsis of Jewel and I think I will read that next!
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm done with that I think I will read The Hungry Tide, Jen. As for the other two, I'll have to wait until I'm in the mood for another long book :)
Better than waiting until you're in the mood, find some friends to read it with. I took 3 months to read both of them. The discussion was so rich. Plus, I've read a couple of 600+ page books JUST THIS YEAR!! How awesome is that?
ReplyDeleteAh, Jen, you are a FAR more devoted reader than I :)
ReplyDeleteI will get to them, probably not until winter though.
Your recommendations are always great (aside from Cold Mountain which I didn't care for).
You know what my suggestion would be. Maggie's Mom
