Okay, I don't often ask my readers to help with things, but here's an easy way for you to help the Pipe Band that Evan belongs to. It is a completely volunteer organization that provides free lessons in piping and drumming and provides pipers for law enforcement events and officers' funerals throughout the state of Minnesota. It really is a great organization.
Here's the deal. The band survives on donations and being paid for events they perform at (parades, etc.) There is a contest being put on by a jeweler in Ottawa, Keltic Nations, and they are offering a prize of hand made jewelry to be used for a fundraising effort of their choice
e.g. raffle or auction to the winning band. The winning bands will be the ones that gets
the most support votes. Votes can be cast in two ways. The first is to join their Facebook group, and follow the instructions there. The second way is by filling out this form on their site. A person voting via Facebook can also vote using the form and vice versa, therefore, each person can potentially place two votes. Each individual registering a vote from the website form will have a chance to win a Keltic Nations sterling silver necklace (excluding item number KNP-008). More info can be found here.
