They're Kidding, Right?

I went to the doctor today for a physical. At the door I was greeted with the following sign -

Please do NOT visit us if you have a cough or fever.

Huh?? Last time I checked the doctor's office is where you SHOULD visit if you are ill. Apparently times have changed and you can only go see the doctor if you are healthy.
